Acoustical Room Calculator

The key to proper Acoustic Treatment and removal of unwanted echo and reverb, is to deploy the right amount of acoustical coverage, which is tyically expressed in square feet of acoustically absorbent surfaces, such as panels and sound absorbing ceiling tiles.

With this calculator you can determine just the right amount of acoustical coverage you'll need to effectively treat your space. Ranges are displayed as minimum to recommended. Minimum coverage will provide adequate acoustical performance, while recommended coverage will provide significantly better performance than the minimum. A common practice is to begin with the minimum coverage and then deploy any additional coverage as needed.

For your convenience, we also display examples of the calculated coverage, translated into popular panel sizes such as the 4'x2', 4'x4' and 8'x4'.
